It was a whirlwind trip, I finally arrived home (my parents) this morning at 4:30am and Kale picked me up at 8:30am. I am very glad I decided not to bring Sophia and Delilah, it would have been hell. They were happy with my in-laws and I avoided asking them direct questions about how they were handling things (if she had told me they were crying all the time or stuff like that I would have gone crazy). I did have to tell Kale not to tell me the things his mother was worrying or bitching to him about, or I would go crazy. She was sugar coating everything while talking to me, but telling him the exaggerated version of events. He in turn was relating what she told him to me. After the first day I told him he had to stop or I would be nuts and he did.
It was a busy few days. The funeral was "lovely" I suppose. Lots of beautiful tropical flowers (her favorite). They even had a LCD TV that displayed pictures of all of us in the family. It has been decided amongst my aunts that when Cindy (the oldest aunt) passes the family bible will be willed to me, because I am the most family oriented of all of the grandchildren. I thought that was a great honor. After the funeral the family went out to dinner and afterwards we all sat around telling stories about grandma. Almost all of them were funny. I almost couldn't tell my story I was so overcome with grief and sadness. I finally was able to get it out and another one for Kale.
Thanks to everyone that wished us well. It's much appreciated.
Tomorrow we head to TN and Monday to FL. Again I am not sure if I will be blogging. I am not sure if where we are staying has WiFi. We will see. I have a ton of stuff to do today so I better get moving.

Glad everything went well and the funeral was nice. Be sure to get some rest in there so you can enjoy Florida.
