I need a nap. I am tired and we've had a lot going on lately and have more to do. I am literally going to be busy until the end of summer. I had originally thought my trip to my in-laws would include a lot of sitting around and shopping, with a splash of swimming and going to the park or for walks. Now my mil wants to take us to Gatlinburg, TN to all the sites there, a two day trip is what I think she is planning. She also wants us to go to Chattanooga to an amusement park there for a day. AND she mentioned her great niece's baby shower, which is an 8hr drive. I am putting my foot down for the baby shower unless we are staying more than one night. I don't want to do a whirlwind babyshower trip, I don't mind going but it has to be for more than just the shower.
Lilly has a musical tonight at school. I had to bake brownies and send in drinks yesterday for that. Which I had assumed when I read the flyer asking us to bring these things that we would be bringing them in before the play. Then I read it again and it asked for them to be brought in the day before the play, so that sent me scrambling. I think I learned my lesson and will be reading everything all the way through.
Tomorrow we have to find Kale a suit jacket. He has outgrown all of his dress clothes they (Kale, Lilly, & Aidan) are going to the girl scouts daddy/daughter dance on Saturday. Then next week I have to find a tent and sleeping bags for their daddy/daughter girl scout campout next weekend. It will be just the younger girls and I all next weekend. I also found out this week Lilly has a slot in girl scout camp this July (YEI!!) so my mil told me we'd look for her supplies while I am with her in TN. Which is nice because I know she will pay for it all and we are already shelling out the $200 to send her to camp.
Aidan started back to horseback riding lessons last weekend and has another lesson this Sunday. She seems more focused, so that is nice especially since it's pricey and an hour drive to get there. She loves it so we will keep doing it and she's genuinely good at it.
Delilah had her shots yesterday (finally) so she was miss crabby pants yesterday. She's much better today, thankfully.
The first soccer games of the season were cancelled due to thunderstorms, but I am kind of glad. I realized last night afterwards while I was doing laundry that I hadn't washed their soccer gear yet. Bad mommy I know.
It seems spring is finally here and staying so I am in such a better mood. My new stroller arrives tomorrow and I am hoping it will inspire me to walk everyday. I really need to lose weight, I am disgusting myself when I look in mirrors or at pictures of myself. I have got to get going on this and stick with it, I have done it before I can do it again.
Hope everyone is having a happy week!

I had to come over because of your comment on That Chick's blog about your bf and the chair. How horrid!
Your girls are gorgeous and I love the name Aidan for a girl. It was in the running for my oldest daughter, and I often wish I had went with it.
Thanks! Yes I know, it was horrible for her, she was very upset. I was just livid that she would be treated that way.
I still love Aidan's name for her, it just suits her.
No one should drive more than 2 hours for a baby shower, even if gas was cheap. Which it isn't.
I agree Marie.
wow. busy is better than bored, and you will have lots of help with the girls too... but damn, just reading about your summer makes me need a nap and I just woke up an hour or so ago. lol
good luck... and I agree w/ you about the baby shower, although i'm sure everyone would love if you guys came, they wouldn't expect you all to drive 8hrs. but if you stayed for a few days that would be cool. :)
you are so relaxed about taveling with the girls and what you do and where you stay, I wish I could be more laid back like that.
have a great day!
hugs, Jenn
Trust me I am not laid back about every aspect of traveling, the actual traveling? yes. The packing? Hell NO! I have a mental breakdown every night before we leave to go somewhere. I usually end up trashing my house while looking for everything the girls need. For me? Packing is like a living hell.
But I have been traveling since I was a little girl, my grandparents lived in PA and we in KS. Every summer we drove to PA. And in my adult life I have always had to travel since we are military. And while I have been lucky enough to fly sometimes, most of the time I have had too many kids to warrant flying. Cause if we fly we have to rent a van to hold all of us. It's cheaper (for now) to drive. Plus if we drive I can bring as much stuff as I want/need.
