Omaha Zoo

I am so tired and we are going out of town this weekend, so my next few posts will be mainly pictures of everything we've been doing.

Hard to get all three to look at me and smile.
I was too lazy to get all the kids together for a picture this trip.

They got to pet a real tiger pelt. It was one of the zoos tigers that died of old age.

They played footsie as we waited in line.

Fighting over the toy.

Eating watermelon, SHH! Don't tell mommy!

I however don't have any issues with Delilah eating food. Plus if you don't feed her you will hear her complaining until all the food is put away.

Grandpa and Judy during our picnic in the parking lot.

Mom and the girls sat at the portable picnic table.

Marion and Nadja with Alan.

Sophia "feeding" the goat. She wouldn't leave until one of them ate the straw she had.

Alan loved the animals, especially touching or grabbing them.

Nadja and Alan, at least she didn't let him sit on the ground. Rosy asked if we washed his hands after this. I told her "NAH, we just handed him a cookie and moved on." She didn't think I was very funny.

They both loved touching the goats.

She is as tall as a lemur.

I don't know if you can see the gorilla in the background.

Aunt Patience and the girls. Aunt Patience lets them look as long as they want and do pretty much anything they want. Things haven't changed since I was a little girl going places with her.

Sun Bear lounging in the tree.

Like how she has her mouth open?

One of the many tiger species they had at the zoo. I believe they had almost all the species, the only one I didn't see was the Sumatran.

The orangutans hanging in their enclosure.

We traded strollers so she could sleep, Alan only sleeps in the car and crib.

Alan chillin'.

Very cool!! And how do you know marie?

I have never met Marie but I "know" her through her sil Keisha. Keisha and I have been friends since MA and recruiting hell. Our husbands were friends from working in the same office, then our kids were friends from daycare, and finally I gave in and became her friend after a year of her trying to befriend me :P Keisha told me about Marie's myspace blog and I followed her over here.

Okay, I'm feeling sorry for Alan. He's not allowed to eat watermelon???? Or to sleep in the stroller if he's tired??? What do they do if he happens to fall asleep in there, pinch him?

He's allowed to sleep in the stroller, but won't he's a nut like that. But they aren't letting us feed him anymore people food since he has been constipated since we feed him all sorts of good stuff that day. I am pretty sure it was the bananas that did it, but my sil won't take any chances. She has him on a very strict schedule, I was impressed she let us take him at all, I mean we disrupted his naps and such :P
