Ready for School to Start

We have 20 days and counting until school begins. Although I am sorry the SEASON of summer will almost be over. Summer vacation is a whole other story. I really do love my children, but having them at home 24/7 alone is not always a good time. They are bored, but don't want to go outside to play. They argue over who will play the computer next. They won't let Sophia play with them or Lilly dictates how there play will go, this doesn't sit well with Aidan. I am ready for them to go and they are ready to go. They miss their friends and teachers, good I am glad they enjoy school I always hated it.

Lilly's birthday is Saturday, my baby will be 9. Hard to believe, she is going into the FOURTH Grade. Soon she will be a teenager (shudder). She is already working on her teenage eye roll and voice dripping with attitude. I don't usually get this, but it's given to her sisters quite frequently. I am still trying to coordinate her small birthday celebration with her BFF's mom. I plan on taking the four girls (Lilly, Aidan, Sophia, and V) to Chuck E Cheese for lunch and then to get makeovers at Club Libby Lu. I opted out of a big party because no one comes to summer parties. Last year there were only 6 that came and only 3 of them were from her school. Instead I convinced her to just invite her BFF and have a fun day. It will cost more than a big party, but I think they will have more fun. We bought her a Nintendo DS (metallic pink), she has been saying she wanted that for her birthday since Christmas. And I bought her one game, she is getting more expensive as she gets older. Plus Aidan wants one now, I told her when she is 9 she can have one.

They have been in rare form today. There have been many arguments and tears. I am soooooo ready for them to go.

UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you only have 20 days to go and you get rid of a lot more than me... I have till September 6th and I only get to see one go to school. :(

I miss him terribly while he is at school and while in Pre-K I did keep him home a lot of the time b/c I thought it was just too much for a 4 yr old to go full days... but now he'll have to go on a regular basis... althoug kindergarten is not manditory in NY ~ it is going to be manditory in our house... only to get him ready for going to school consistantly as he gets older. Don't want to start any bad habbits.

BUT... in just one year... September of 2009 all THREE of my darling little children will be in school FULL TIME!! yay!! :) I probably won't send the girls every. single. day. but they can go most days.

AND... I... I will be home... ALL. ALONE!! oh my... what ever will I do??? (evil grin) although I'm sure the days that they are in school will go by so much faster than the days we are all home together. :P

I hope Lilly has a great birthday... it sounds awesome!! :) I can't wait, BUT then again I totally CAN wait to take the girls to Libby Lu! :) It looks like a blast for them. I bet they will all have a great day! i think a smaller group like that is a good idea... it is still a BIG party... CEC and LL! :) And I know she will LOVE the present... very cool.

Trevor keeps asking for one... he has the Leapster L-Max... which is perfect for his age, and it has learning games on it... so that is best for him for now... but he really wants the Nintendo DS... but I think he is way too little. Although is father thinks we can look into it for Christmas... we'll see.

Anyway... have a great day... Hope the kids decide it is best to get along and play nicely! (always my own personal wish!) :)

talk to you soon!

You are a better mommy than I :P I don't miss mine at all. Probably because I know how much they love school and being with their friends. Kindergarten isn't mandatory here either, but once they start they can't just not go or they will be truent. It is mandatory in our house too :P

You are lucky, one year to go until you are alone all day :P Actually having Sophia and Delilah at home is not bad at all, it's just having them all home for weeks on end that is a problem. Sophia won't go until she is nearly six, our schools here she has to be 5 by Aug 31st, she misses that deadline by 8 days. It really stinks because she is bright and would be able to handle it, she is a lot like Lilly and Lilly is one of the youngest in her grade always. Delilah will miss the deadline by 2 days, but if she continues to be like Aidan in looks and personality she will need the extra time to mature. I guess I will deal with it when it gets closer.

I have threatened them properly today so I hope they behave. :)
