It's not very often Delilah lets me sleep past 7am and yesterday she woke me up at 6:15am with a foul odor. I was awaken by the same foul odor but this time at 8:30am!!! I needed the sleep, yesterday was a long day due to the ungodly hour I was awoken.
I went to to doctor yesterday, I had a tick bite my dad insisted I get looked at. Actually he insisted I should be on antibiotics. The doctor said nothing was wrong with it and it was just red/itchy because it was scar tissue built up and healing. Then she fixed it so I only have to take my "happy" meds once a day. I am constantly forgetting the second dose. Rosy was nice enough to come over and sit with the kids while I went.
After the doctor's appointment we packed the kids up, went to the post office, and then picked Jason up from his "class" he is taking in KC. Then we went to Party America, Sams Club, and the Mall. I found a set of candles that spell Sophia so I bought those for her birthday. Plus, I found a tiara that lights up and says Birthday Girl for Lilly to wear on Saturday. While we were walking into Sam's I mused "I wonder if people think you are a polygamist, Jason?" and we laughed. We walked around the mall and surprisingly I didn't buy a thing. We headed out stopping only at QT for drinks before heading home. It was a good afternoon just hanging out.
Delilah was a pain to put to bed last night though, she went down at 9pm but didn't give up until 9:45pm. All I can say is I am glad she didn't scream, she fussed a bit, but mostly talked and squealed. I went to bed at 10:30pm and as I said before, I actually got to sleep in.
Aidan is having a blast with my parents. My mom took her to the zoo in the morning while my dad was in meetings. She was able to dress up like a lemur, zoo doctor, zoo director, and a bird. She pet the goats and saw a bald eagle named Lela. After they took a nap, they met up with my dad and went to Chinatown. They had dinner there and she ate duck. This was so surprising for me. You have no idea how picky this child used to be and how much she has changed in just a couple of years. Seriously she used to only eat peanut butter sandwiches, mac n cheese, and chicken nuggets (McDonalds only). Now she is willing to at least try most things, before she would screech at you until you quit asking her. It is amazing to me. She did say though (about the duck) "but not the feathers, mommy." That is just so Aidan.
I am hoping Lilly is having a good time. Her first day there it was 102 degrees outside and it rained at night. Yesterday it rained off and on all day. So I am not sure how much they have been able to do outdoors. It's supposed to storm the next two days and be nice on her last day there. I can tell from the pictures they uploaded on the eCamp site that yesterday was a mostly indoor day. But she looked happy in the pictures. So I won't worry about her.
Other than that, my new gates came and work wonderfully. I am very happy with them. I also love my new diaper bag. It's big enough but not too big, I don't need a huge one. I am not sure my plans for the day, well beyond going to the commissary for milk and such. But for me to get there I have to get off my lazy butt and get around. :P

i'm glad you are having a good day!! Sleeping in is always nice, but doesn't usually happen for us moms. :)
Delilah is still pooping?? well duh... but you know what I mean... still pooping a lot??
I'm glad that Aiden is having a good time with your mom and dad. sounds like a great trip to the zoo. :)
And I'm so happy to hear she didn't eat the feathers!! lol that is too funny!! I literally LOL!! :)
Sucks that it is raining while Lilly is at camp, but being stuck inside with friends and I'm sure games and crafts and stuff to do is a lot different then being stuck at home in the hse when it rains... so maybe she isn't minding it so much. That is great that you can see pictures of her while she is there... that has to make you more comfortable with her going. :)
Candles that spell out Sophia, sounds so cute!! I need pics!! lol you know me, I want pics of everything. ;)
Speaking of pics, I have to post some... I am charing my camera battery so I can get them off the camera into the computer and upload some...
it just takes so much time... ugh.
I have 4 kids here today, I'm babysitting my nephew... it is going well, they dont' get to play together a lot here at our house mostly at my parents house so it is all "new" to him, and they are interested in showing him everything and so everyone is playign really nicely together... and before we all know it... THANK GOD... it will be lunch and nap time. yay!!!
anyway... we are going camping again this weekend... we leave Thurs and come home on Sunday.. I have a million and five things to do so I should get off my butt and do them.
ugh!!
i'll be back.
thanks for stopping by Heather's page.

OH... duh!! i'm also glad that the tick bite was nothing... but you should still keep an eye on it... my MIL just had a tick bite that they thought was nothing and she ended up with lime disease and on anitbiotics and all that... so be careful!!

Yeah, that good day part didn't go so well. Delilah didn't nap until 5pm and even then she went down with a fight. Plus I left the car on (not running, but the radio going and such) so when Rosy and I left to go to the commissary it was dead. We had to ride in her car, which couldn't hold three car seats. I didn't have a choice though since I was out of diapers, so we went with Sophia just buckled in the middle seat. It was only for less than 2 miles round trip. I still don't like doing it. Then when we got there as soon as we got out of the car it started pouring and we got soaked. So yeah my day didn't end up so well.
I did get my hallway cleaned up and my kitchen floor swept and moped. But then we tracked grass in on my hallway floor. They mowed the lawn today and then with the rain they couldn't sweep the driveway or walkways. So that sucked.
Wow, you go camping a lot. We did when I was young, now we are lucky to go once a year. We are going for Labor Day Weekend this year. I hope you have a good time.
sorry to hear your day went down hill... but sometimes i just am amazed at how much our lives are alike... I swear...
the other day... it was a friday, not last friday but two friday's ago, i was going w/ friends to dinner and just to hang out... girls night out... so that day i was going to do a favor for bryan and weed this house that he takes care of... he HATES weeding and doesn't do on a regular basis or at all really so it was out of control... my story does have a point... i promise... lol but anyway... when i went to get the kids loaded up and leave... the truck was DEAD... I had left it on accessory when I put the windows up the day before from the POURING rain... thankfully my brother came and jumped it... I tried to do it with our lawn mower, but I had old and rusty jumper cables and couldnt' get a good contact... I was worried about getting shocked... but then I went and weeded... and all was good... but it just seems like we have a lot in common. :) I bet if we lived near one another we would be good friends. :)
well anyway... I hope your day today is a lot better. :)
i'm off to comment on Lilly's bday pics. :)

Jenn,
I am sure we would be friends too. :) How strange we had similar experiences around the same time.
