Wordless Wednesday: 4th of July: Part Two Edition

Aidan is not thrilled with loud fireworks still, she ran into the house screaming when my dad lit the blackcats. Mary, Marion, Nadja, and my mom sat on the porch watching.

Aaron, Asher, and Lilly
We gave them the snap dragons first, they each used half a box, got bored, and moved on.

Asher and Green lighting a spinning one.

K with a popper.

She was hilarious! Nadja would hand her a snap dragon, she would run down the walk, then throw it on the ground. If it didn't snap she would stomp it.

Asher and Lilly waiting to light more fireworks.

On our way back from TN we stopped at a firework warehouse shop and bought more than $30 worth of stuff for the kids. So after K and I went shopping, came back to my house, washed Abby's dress, and rounded up the children we went over to my parents house to shoot off the fireworks I bought. My dad and Green supervised and I am pretty sure we have turned K's boys into pyromaniacs :P It was a lot of fun, but we were late getting to Jason and Rosy's house. That kind of was the theme for the day/weekend.

Jenn,
They did have a good time, but Aidan is still scared of the big fireworks. She sat on my dads lap the whole time not looking until the very end, she cried a lot loudly in the beginning. She also made him hold his hands over her ears, I am not sure she will ever get over being frightened of loud noises. Sophia was worse last year, this year at the big fireworks show she just sat with random people, last year she was so scared at our home fireworks I didn't even bother taking her to the big ones. Lilly held her hands over her ears but thats all, she actually participated with ourhome fireworks, she was never interested before. I think that was because of the influence of having the boys there.
