My Weekend: A Pictorial

This is only half of our day's work, I will post about the other half of what we did Friday tomorrow. We spent from 9am to 12pm, 12:30pm to 2:30pm, took a break to walk the three miles back and forth from the school, then worked again from 4:30pm to 7pm. All that work to get the four bedrooms more livable. We were told not to expect to move for at least 8mths. So I figured I better get comfy.

Sophia's Room
The walls need to be repainted from where Aidan drew on them and where she spread make up all over them, but that will be Kale's job at Christmas time. The spring horse is actually Aidan's but Sophia rides it more and there wasn't room in Aidan's room for it. The table and chairs were Lilly's, my mom had them made for her first birthday. I am not sure, I may move these curtains to Delilah's room. They are Winnie the Pooh, both of their beds have Pooh, but Sophia's will be changed for a Christmas present.

It's messy right now, she was in there playing this morning.

Sophia's bed and rocking chair (which was Lilly's)

Can you tell this used to be Aidan's room? :P
All the decorations need to come down and be moved and all of Sophia's stuff put up. I have like three name things for her room.
That is the closet of new clothing, costumes, coats, and dresses. It's full from end to end.

Delilah has her OWN room!!!

There is not much in it yet and I need to redecorate, but it's her own room.

All of the princess decorations are from when it was Lilly's room, like 2 years ago.

I have pink curtains to put up in her room. Right now the room blackening shade will have to do. We moved it from Sophia's room since it's more important Delilah sleep later than Sophia.
The cradle was made by a man who lived next door to me practically all my life, it was my wedding gift from him. It's beautiful, heavy, and the feet hurt like h*ll when you accidentally kick them.

You can see where I need to take down Lilly's name and move it to her room. I am not sure if she still wants all the princess stuff or not. That closet is a walk-in and is chock full of our Christmas decorations, clothing, and baby stuff.

This room was the playroom most recently, you couldn't even walk in the room. Judy and I spent ALL day Friday cleaning the entire upstairs. My kids aren't filthy but are cluttered. We didn't find any food, drink, or stuff like that. We mostly found socks, pacifiers, and hair things, besides the mountains of toys. We took 6 HUGE garbage bags full of toys to Goodwill after our clean up. We did it while they were in school so they couldn't guilt us into keeping things they don't play with. We also took out 2 huge garbage bags full of stuffed animals, and they still have two 16 gallon tubs full of them.

Wow, 6 bags! Isn't it funny how you can accumulate so much stuff??

What a cute little house! We used to have a similar one but the kids broke the frame.

Jacki-You would be surprised how much stuff four children can accumulate, especially when they are spoiled.

Marie-It is a cute little house, I worry my kids will tear it up some days, the bigger girls that is. Well, I worry more about the furniture inside the house. That was a present last Christmas. I wanted to get her the market that goes with it, but I am not sure we have the room. I really should have switched her room and Delilah's new room. Delilah's is so much bigger and she doesn't need the space right now. Kale said we can trade the rooms when he comes home, I may end up taking him up on his offer.
