I have been very busy scouring the web for interesting, unique, and unusual gifts. I gave away so many standard toys, barbies, my little ponies, and such that I don't want to simply replace them with new standard toys.
I ordered a kit from Etsy to make Delilah a baby proof scrapbook

This is Lilly's, I hate it but she has been begging for animal print bedding.

I bought Aidan's this summer when it was on sale.

I have commissioned a woman on Etsy to make a toddler bedding set out of this fabric. It was tough to find cutsie penguin fabric.

The rest of this stuff is for Sophia. Basically this is nearly all she will get from Santa.
It's the Dream Town Cherry Blossom Market and Accessories. She already has the Dream Town Cottage.

Hey, can I give you my Christmas wish list? ;-)
I am with you....Emma has so much stuff, it is hard to think of what to buy her. I really like the idea of new bedding, but she's only four. She might get bored with it. I do like the necklaces...I'm off to check those out.
Jacki,
:P
We usually change their bedding every 3 years. My mom made Aidan's current bedding about 3 years ago and that same year my mil was supposed to make Lilly's but opted to buy it instead. Lilly is growing out of princesses and Aidan's bedding is looking rough. Sophia has only had hers for a year, but it was toddler bedding and pretty cheap. She will probably only be in the bed for another year, maybe two so it is kind of ridiculous how much money I am spending on her new bedding. But I need gifts to buy them and this was all I could come up with. I still have no clue what we will buy for Delilah from us. She doesn't need new bedding, she only uses a sheet and her blankie. No point in buying her bedding.
wow. very cool stuff. i like the bedding idea. if we get the girls into twin beds instead of toddler beds, that might be an idea for us too... or maybe we would do the bed and the bedding... hmm... gotta think on that. i also love the necklaces and the market place. we have the cottage, and i didn't know there was a market... very cool. now that we have a playroom with more space, maybe JUST maybe santa can get this for the girls. gotta think on that too.
we have a hard time coming up with GOOD gift ideas for the kids... they are 3 & 5 and have EVERYTHING that is age appropriate and even some things that are for older children... ugh. they are spoiled rotten and also it doesn't help that they all just had bday's and got a bunch of stuff. But i'm with you. i don't want to buy them just random toys just for something to buy. i want to get unique things and things they will really LOVE and like and play with or use.
great ideas you have here. can't wait to steal, um... er... i mean see more.
xoxoxo :)
Jenn,
The market is new for this year I think. I just started seeing commercials for it in the last month or two. It's one of the reasons I am moving Sophia into Delilah's room and vice versa, Sophia's current room would not be big enough to accomodate it and the rest of her stuff.
Sophia and the other girls aren't as difficult to buy for as Delilah. She is a toddler and doesn't really play with toys. She likes food, I could wrap up a bunch of boxes of cookies and snacks. She likes tv, I could buy her her own tv. :P I am at a loss. She has a ton of toys that belonged to Sophia and last Christmas and for her b-day she got more. I just don't think she needs anything.
You can steal my ideas if you like. :P I have nothing better to do most days than sit here and look for ideas. Gives me a purpose, sad I know. :P
