Typical Birthday Celebration

Every adult in my family, for their birthday, chooses a restaurant that we all have dinner at and my parents pay. And when I mean all, that includes usually 14 people or more if we invite friends or my aunt and uncle. My immediate family alone includes My parents, Green, Lele, Nais, Jason, Rosy, Alan, Kale, Lilly, Aidan, Sophia, Delilah, and I so 14 people. Granted 2 are babies who don't use high chairs yet and Sophia is in a high chair, but even if you take that in account it makes for a long wait.

You would think at 8pm Red Lobster wouldn't be so hoppin'. But we were wrong. One and half hour wait Saturday night when we went there to celebrate Jason (3/1) and Rosy's (2/26) birthdays. I am okay with waiting that long, as long as we have fun. Which we usually do, Saturday was no exception. Delilah behaved, Sophia stayed in her seat, the girls were quiet (also sitting at the other end of a long table from me!), and we had good conversation. Regaling tales of our youth (like we're that old) for Lele and Nais. I love nights like that. We weren't seated until 9:30pm and we didn't get home until midnight, but it was still a fun night.

glad that you had a good time even though you had quite a wait. i don't mind waiting for things like that, as long as, like you said you are entertained and the kids are being good. :)
