Nais left today, it was very sad. We spent all of last night drinking, playing the Wii, hanging out, laughing. Rosy, Jason, Green, Nais, & Lele all came over at 11:30pm and they left at 2:30am. We had a blast. At 9am I picked Lele, Nais, and Rosy up and headed to the western store. We managed to collect the $130 Nais needed for the boots she really wanted, but could not afford. That was our going away present, everyone chipped in and we tried to buy them yesterday, but the store was closed on Sundays. So that meant getting there just as they opened, buying them, and high tailing it to the airport to be 2hrs early for her flight. Mom, Dad, and Green met us at the airport.
We laughed and joked about my parents replacing her next year. She was teasing my dad since he was looking at the profiles on the internet for the girls they may take in next year. She said "Rick, stop. At least wait 15 minutes until I am gone." Then he teased her by telling her they would have the family photo taken as soon as the girls arrived in Sept. One of the things that had bothered Nais was the photo on the mantle was from last year, so Cecy was in it with my parents and Green. We finally got the new one up there 3wks ago. Then he said that he would take the profile pictures of the girls, blow them up, cut out the faces, and paste them over Lele and Nais' faces on the photo.
When it was time to say goodbye it was hard. Lots of tears, lots of hugging. I hate this time of year, when it's time to say goodbye. It's even harder than when they first came and we couldn't understand each other very well. I will miss her and we will be going through this again in less than 3wks. :(

BTW....I came over from Marie's blog....hope you don't mind me reading. :-) The baby is my sister's....she is living with us for a while.
Of course not! :)
Eventually, when my life is less busy, I will get around to reading your entire blog. I prefer to read start to finish before I start commenting, but I do not have the time yet. So I will read and comment anyway, learning about you as I go along.
well sounds like you guys had at least a good last night together. :)
oh. that is sooo sad. i know we had foster children, which isn't exactly the same, but you let these people/children into you life and you open up your heart and love them just like family and it is sooo hard to say goodbye to them. :(
i know this is hard for you! i hope you are feeling better soon!!
